HALIFAX, PA — The Halifax Area High School wrestling team delivered a powerful performance on the mat, dominating rival Upper Dauphin Area High School (UDAH) with a decisive 46-24 victory. The Wildcats secured the win through a series of rapid pins and a commanding showing across the lower and middle weight classes.

Pinning Prowess

Halifax (HAH) established their control early, converting seven of their nine victories into maximum points via the pinfall.

  • At 121 lbs, Izaya Schickley set a blistering pace, pinning UDAH's Brody Barge in just 57 seconds—the fastest pin of the evening.

  • Kamden Schadel (107 lbs) started the night strong, earning the first pin by defeating Brayden Morgan in the third period (3:19).

  • Additional falls for the Wildcats came from Collin Sabolsky (127 lbs), Jacksin Smith (139 lbs), Brayden Midile (160 lbs), and curtis conrad (172 lbs), ensuring Upper Dauphin struggled to gain any traction.

Key Matches and Points

Halifax’s only non-pin victory came from John Taucher at 133 lbs, who won by Major Decision (14-1) over Wyatt Kassirer, adding four crucial team points.

Upper Dauphin (UDAH) relied on depth in the heavier classes to stay in the contest, securing three forfeits and two pins late in the match:

  • Nathaniel Wright (145 lbs) and Leroy Zimmerman (152 lbs) collected six points each via forfeit.

  • Wyatt Troutman (215 lbs) and Eoghan Savage (285 lbs) delivered back-to-back pins for the Trojans, with Savage finishing the night with an impressive 40-second fall over Daniel Ranck.
