In a Saturday afternoon non-league clash, the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans traveled to Kinzers and walked away with a hard-fought 61-51 victory over the Pequea Valley Braves. Despite a slow start, the Trojans used a dominant second quarter and a balanced scoring attack to overcome a 24-point performance from Pequea Valley’s Janae Patterson.

Game Summary

The game opened with Pequea Valley finding their rhythm early. Behind the aggressive play of Janae Patterson, the Braves jumped out to a 16-11 lead by the end of the first quarter. However, the momentum shifted drastically in the second.

Upper Dauphin tightened their defense and found their stroke from the perimeter, outscoring the Braves 18-9 in the frame. This 20-point swing allowed the Trojans to carry a 29-25 lead into the locker room—an advantage they would never relinquish.
