MANHEIM, PA – The halls of Spooky Nook Sports were filled with the sound of snapping bowstrings and cheering crowds this past Saturday as the Upper Dauphin Area (UDA) archery teams delivered a dominant performance at the NASP State Tournament. It was a banner day for the district, defined by a first-place finish for the Middle School squad, a silver medal for the High School team, and a wave of individual personal bests that signaled a program at the top of its game.

Middle School Takes the Crown

The UDA Middle School team secured the state title with an impressive collective score of 3284. Leading the charge for the boys was Jase Calnon, who not only claimed first place individually but did so by shooting a staggering personal best of 292. Teammate Lukas Mauser followed closely behind, securing seventh place with a solid score of 280.

The Middle School girls were equally formidable. Ella Margerum earned a spot on the podium, taking third place with a score of 282. Caelan Maikranz rounded out the top performances for the ladies, finishing with a 276, marking a new career high for the young archer.

High School Secures Second Place

The UDA High School team kept the momentum going, finishing the tournament in second place with a total score of 3336.

The girls' division was led by Olivia Kohler, whose precision earned her a fourth-place finish with a score of 289. On the boys' side, Caleb Shaffner led the way by taking fifth place with a personal best of 287, while Dakota Boyer broke into the top ten with a ninth-place score of 286.

A Culture of Excellence

Beyond the podium finishes, the tournament was a testament to the growth of the entire roster. The "Personal Best" list was long, proving that the UDA archers brought their best efforts to the state's biggest stage. Athletes celebrating new career highs included:
