UDA Archers Hit the Mark at Millersburg State Qualifier

MILLERSBURG – The Upper Dauphin Area (UDA) archery teams continued their season of excellence today, delivering a standout performance at the Millersburg state qualifier. Competing in a focused indoor environment, UDA's middle and high school archers demonstrated the precision and poise that have become hallmarks of the program.


Middle School Claims First Place

The UDA Middle School team locked in a dominant first-place finish, posting a collective score of 3214.

The girls’ division saw UDA archers take two of the top three spots. Ella Margerum led the field, capturing first place with a score of 283. Azria Kramer followed closely in second with a 279, while Daphne Burkert secured a top-five finish with a score of 273.

The boys’ side was equally impressive, with Lukas Mauser taking the top spot on the podium with a score of 280. Kaleb Weaver earned second place with a 277. The team's depth was on full display as brothers Jase Calnon (8th, 271) and Hunter Calnon (9th, 270) both fought their way into the top ten.


High School Team Secures Silver

The UDA High School team also made their presence felt, earning a second-place finish with a strong team score of 3316. In the boys' division, Ayden Welsh led the Trojans with a 5th-place finish and a score of 286. He was supported by top-ten performances from Colby Strohecker, who placed 8th with 283, and Dakota Boyer, who took 10th with 282.

The high school girls were led by a high-scoring duo. Olivia Kohler claimed second place with a 281, and Addyson Gelsinger followed right behind in third place, also finishing with a score of 281.


A Day of Personal Milestones

Beyond the team rankings, the qualifier was a breakthrough event for many individuals. Eight archers reached new heights today, recording their personal best scores:

  • Ayden Welsh: 286

  • Azria Kramer: 279

  • Kyra Dyer: 265

  • Caelan Maikranze: 252

  • Harry Weaver: 249

  • Carter Campbell: 245

  • Derrick Henry: 242

  • Addalynn Stoneroad: 219
