Elizabethville, PA – December 11, 2025 – The Line Mountain Eagles (Line Mountain) secured a hard-fought Tri-Valley Athletic Association (TVAA) victory over the Upper Dauphin Trojans (Upper Dauphin) on Thursday night, prevailing 39-29 in a contest defined by a dramatic second-half comeback that nearly stunned the visitors.
Line Mountain's Early Dominance
Line Mountain started strong, setting a dominant tone in the first half. The Eagles' defense smothered the Trojans, holding them to just 8 points through the first two quarters. Line Mountain established a seemingly insurmountable 21-8 lead at the halftime break, suggesting a comfortable road victory was imminent.
Trojans Launch a Stunning 18-4 Run
However, the Upper Dauphin Trojans launched a fierce and unforgettable rally in the second half. Fueled by Paige Williams (9 points total) and clutch shooting, the Trojans exploded in the third quarter, outscoring the Eagles 15-4. This spectacular run cut the deficit to just two points, bringing the score to 25-23 heading into the final frame.
The momentum carried into the fourth quarter. The Trojans completed the comeback just minutes into the period, taking their first and only lead of the game, 26-25, with 7:05 remaining.
