ELIZABETHTOWN, PA — The Upper Dauphin Area girls wrestling team continued their ascent as a regional powerhouse this past Saturday, storming to a second-place team finish at the prestigious BAGUBA Brawl. In a massive field of 23 teams, the Trojans racked up 152.0 points, finishing behind only Central Dauphin (212.0) and outpacing perennial contenders like Boiling Springs and South Western.

The day was highlighted by a championship performance from Marjorie Hoffman-Long (142 lbs), who extended her undefeated season (4-0) by capturing the gold medal. Hoffman-Long, competing as part of a co-op with Tri-Valley, was clinical in her run, recording back-to-back pins in under a minute—49 and 48 seconds respectively—before winning the final via medical forfeit over Spring Grove's Lilly Yohe.

Trojans Dominate the Podium

Upper Dauphin’s runner-up team trophy was the result of a collective effort, with the Trojans placing six wrestlers on the podium.

Jada Dillard (130 lbs) provided a significant points boost, finishing 2nd in one of the tournament's deepest brackets. Dillard was a "pinning machine" throughout the morning, securing four consecutive falls—including a 50-second pin in the semifinals—before falling to Trinity's Adyson Vogelsong in the championship match.

At 148 lbs, Jacelyn Henninger also claimed a silver medal. Henninger reached the finals with two lightning-fast pins, including a 24-second fall in the quarterfinals. Joining her as a runner-up was Chole Ratcliffe (190 lbs), who pinned her way through the bracket to secure her 2nd place finish and 24 crucial team points.
