KINZERS, PA — In a Saturday afternoon non-league matchup, the Pequea Valley Braves utilized a dominant first half to secure a 54-36 victory over the visiting Upper Dauphin Area Trojans. The win marks the fourth consecutive victory for the Braves against the Trojans, moving Pequea Valley to an 11-5 record on the season.
Braves Set the Tone Early
Pequea Valley wasted no time establishing control on their home court. The Braves' defense stifled Upper Dauphin from the opening tip, limiting the Trojans to just two points in the first quarter and five in the second. By halftime, Pequea Valley had built a commanding 24-7 lead.
Upper Dauphin found their offensive rhythm in the second half, putting up 29 points over the final two frames, but the mountain was too high to climb. Despite the Trojans' late surge, the Braves matched them basket-for-basket in the fourth quarter to seal the 18-point win.
