Bulls-eye Success: UDA Honors Legacy at Jeff Kohr Memorial Tournament

UPPER DAUPHIN AREA — The atmosphere was electric this past Friday and Saturday as Upper Dauphin Area played host to the Jeff Kohr Memorial Archery Tournament. It was a landmark weekend for the program, filled with hometown pride, podium finishes, and a remarkable wave of personal achievements.
Middle School Dominates the Range
The UDA Middle School team stole the spotlight, securing a first-place team finish with a commanding total score of 3264.
The girls' division saw a powerhouse performance from Ella Margerum, who claimed the top spot on the podium with an impressive 284. She was supported by a deep field of teammates:
Azria Kramer: 4th place (274)
Daphne Burkert: 6th place (273)
Anaya Gessner: 8th place (271) – Personal Best
On the boys' side, Jase Calnon led the charge with a stellar 281, earning 2nd place. He was followed closely by a string of top-ten finishers:
Lukas Mauser: 3rd place (277)
Landyn Strine: 7th place (273)
Caleb Weaver: 9th place (272)
High School Secures Silver
The High School squad put up a fierce fight, earning second place overall with a team score of 3326.
Colby Strohecker anchored the boys' efforts, taking first place with a high score of 288. Joining him in the top rankings were Ayden Welsh (7th, 284) and Austin Heim (8th, 283). The girls were led by Olivia Kohler, whose score of 286 earned her a well-deserved 3rd place finish.
A Weekend of Personal Milestones
Perhaps the most inspiring highlight of the tournament was the debut of the fifth-grade archers. Competing in their first-ever tournament, the youngest members of the team rose to the occasion, with every single archer reaching a new personal best.
