Archery Teams Hit the Mark: Middle School Claims First in Weekend Tournament Sweep

It was a weekend of precision and personal triumphs as our archery teams traveled to Halifax for the Bob Baker Tournament on Saturday and the Tri Valley State Qualifier on Sunday. From podium finishes to a staggering list of personal bests, the athletes demonstrated why they are a force to be reckoned with this season.


Saturday: Middle School Dominates the Bob Baker Tournament

The Middle School team stole the show on Saturday, securing a first-place team finish with a commanding score of 3,241.

The girls’ division was spearheaded by Ella Margerum, who claimed the top spot with a score of 278. On the boys' side, the team saw a near-sweep of the top rankings, led by Lukas Mauser in first place with a personal best of 287. He was followed closely by:

  • Jase Calnon: 2nd Place (278, Personal Best)

  • Landyn Strine: 5th Place (276, Personal Best)

  • Kaleb Weaver: 9th Place (273)

The High School team also put up a strong fight, finishing fourth overall with a score of 3,263. Colby Strohecker anchored the boys' performance, taking first place with a personal best of 290, while Dakota Boyer followed in fourth with a 285. Olivia Kohler led the high school girls with a solid score of 283.


Sunday: Success at the Tri Valley State Qualifier

The momentum continued into Sunday as the teams competed for state qualification.

Middle School Excellence

The Middle Schoolers returned to the podium, placing second with a team score of 3,225.

  • Boys: Lukas Mauser continued his streak, taking 1st place again with a new personal best of 290. Jase Calnon (3rd), Levi Miller (8th), and Landyn Strine (10th) all secured top-ten finishes.

  • Girls: Ella Margerum placed 2nd (277), followed by Azria Kramer in 6th and Reagan Romberger in 8th with a personal best of 269.

High School Resilience

The High School team climbed the rankings on Sunday, securing third place with an improved score of 3,297. The boys’ leaderboards were crowded with our archers, as Colby Strohecker (3rd), Ayden Welsh (7th), Caleb Schaffner (9th), and Dakota Boyer (9th) all broke into the top ten.


What’s Next?

The team is looking to carry this momentum into our very own Home Tournament, scheduled for the 20th and 21st. Come out and support our archers as they look to defend their home turf!
