MILLERSTOWN, PA — In a Tri-Valley League showdown on Friday night, the Greenwood Wildcats used a lethal long-range attack and a dominant second half to secure a 68-43 victory over the Upper Dauphin Trojans.
After a neck-and-neck first quarter that saw the teams knotted at 12-12, Greenwood (8-6) found its rhythm. The Wildcats outscored the Trojans in every subsequent frame, punctuated by a definitive 20-7 run in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
The Womer and Moyer Connection
Senior Dylan Womer was the catalyst for the Greenwood offense, turning in a game-high 23 points. Womer’s versatility was on full display as he attacked the paint for seven 2-point field goals while adding three shots from beyond the arc.
He wasn’t alone in the scoring barrage. Bronson Moyer provided a powerful secondary punch, chipping in 18 points, including three 3-pointers of his own. The Wildcats' perimeter shooting proved to be the statistical difference-maker; Greenwood finished with ten 3-pointers as a team, while Upper Dauphin managed only three.
Titan Wirth also contributed significantly to the spread, scoring all 9 of his points from deep.
Heim Leads Trojans in Tough Loss
For Upper Dauphin (5-10), sophomore standout Kaide Heim continued his productive season. Heim fought through the Greenwood defense to lead the Trojans with 17 points, including seven field goals and a 3-of-4 performance from the free-throw line.
Maddox Barge added 6 points, and Braden Foraker and Landon Savage each tallied 5, but the Trojans struggled to keep pace once the Wildcats' transition game heated up in the second half.
